Beef Chow Mein

Beef Chow Mein is a delicious way to change up a traditional Chow Mein meal.


You will need:
  • 2 cups flank steak, diced or cut into strips
  • 3 Tbsp beef base
  • 1 Tbsp soy sauce
  • ½ cup onion, chopped
  • 1 cup celery, chopped
  • 2 cups bean sprouts
  • ¼ tsp ground ginger
  • ½ cup water
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil


  1. In a large skillet, brown steak evenly.

  2. Add beef base and soy sauce.

  3. Cover and cook for 8-10 minutes, or until meat is tender.

  4. Add onions, bean sprouts, ginger and celery, and cook for an additional 8-10 minutes.

  5. Add water and cook for 5 more minutes, until all ingredients are heated through.

  6. Remove from heat and serve over rice or noodles.

  • Add vegetables like broccoli or mushrooms for added color and flavor
