Crispy Fried Noodles

Crispy Fried Noodles are delicious, especially when made at home. This recipe is quick and easy, and fulfilling for the entire family to enjoy! Add vegetables to give Crispy Fried Noodles your own flare. This recipe serves 4.


You will need:
  • 16 ounces vermicelli pasta
  • 4 green onions, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup diced red bell pepper
  • 1 carrot, grated
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 3 beaten eggs
  • 3 - 4 tablespoons vegetable oil


  1. Boil noodles in large pot until al dente, about 8 to 10 minutes.

  2. Scramble eggs in small skillet until firm and set aside.

  3. In larger skillet, heat 2 tablespoons vegetable oil. Sauté sliced green onions, diced bell pepper, and grated carrots until softened. Remove from pan, and set aside.

  4. Place sesame oil and 1 tablespoon vegetable oil in skillet. Place noodles in oil. Fry 3 to 5 minutes, making sure to turn noodles often to avoid scorching.

  5. Add sautéed vegetables, and continue cooking for additional 3 minutes.

  6. Remove from heat. Top with scrambled egg and serve.


  • Toss with cooked shrimp, diced chicken or pork.
  • For spice, add crushed red peppers.
  • Garnish with diced green onions.
  • For vegetarian Crispy Fried Noodles, disregard scrambled egg.
