Ginger Honey Spare Ribs

You will need:
  • 3 - 4 pounds pork spareribs
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger (minced)
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 teaspoon Chinese 5 spice powder
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic

Preparation

  1. Combine soy sauce, ginger, honey, garlic, and Chinese 5 spice powder into large bowl. Mix well.

  2. Place ribs in two large marinating bags, and add marinade equally between the two bags.

  3. Let ribs marinate in refrigerator 4 to 6 hours. For best results, let marinate overnight.

  5. To cook ribs, preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place marinated ribs in baking pan lined with foil. Discard any unused marinade. Bake 30 to 45 minutes or until meat pulls easily from bone.

  6. For best results, let ribs stand 5 minutes before serving.

  • Serve with steamed rice.
  • Before serving, sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  • Garnish with diced green onions.
