Cantonese Style Steamed Fish

Take steamed fish from an average dish to an Asian inspired feast with this Cantonese Style Steamed Fish recipe.


You will need:
  • ¾ lb sole fish fillets
  • 1 tsp rice wine
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tsp sesame oil
  • 2 tsp soy sauce
  • 2 tsp ground ginger
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 red chili, thinly sliced



  1. Fill steamer with water and bring to a boil.

  2. Rub each fillet of fish with rice wine and ginger.

  3. Place into steamer with lid on for 8-10 minutes.

  4. In a separate small pan, heat olive oil, sesame oil, chili, soy sauce and onions.

  5. When fish is ready, pour oil mixture over and serve.
