Sweet and Sour Tofu and Shrimp Salad

Marinade tofu to add a special twist to your health. The taste of ground ginger and kick of sweet chili in the dressing will make Sweet and Sour Tofu and Shrimp Salad come alive with flare! This recipe serves 4.


For the dressing, you will need:
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil

To prepare the salad, you will need:
  • 16 ounces firm tofu, drained and diced
  • 1/2 cup cleaned, cooked medium shrimp
  • 1 cup red cabbage, shredded
  • 1 cup carrots, grated
  • 1 cup snow peas


  1. In large mixing bowl, combine ginger, soy sauce, minced garlic, sweet chili sauce and sesame oil. Mix well.

  2. Toss tofu gently into mixture, and let marinate for up to an hour in refrigerator.

  3. Remove from refrigerator after marinating. Combine cooked shrimp, red cabbage, grated carrots, and snow peas into tofu mixture.

  4. Mix gently and serve.



  • Add iceberg or romaine lettuce to salad during Step 3.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
