Sticky Rice

Sticky Rice pairs well with any vegetarian, pork or chicken dish! Its simple ingredients and preparation steps make Sticky Rice easy to prepare. This recipe serves 4 to 6.


You will need:
  • 2 cups sweet rice (glutinous rice)
  • 4 cups water
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt


    *Preparation Tip: Allow sweet rice to soak in water for up to 30 minutes prior to cooking it.

  1. In large pot, add rice and water over high heat and bring to boil.

  2. When water begins boiling, stir rice well only once and cover pot. If you do not have a vented lid, make sure to tilt lid to allow steam to be released from pot. Turn on medium–low heat.

  4. Cook rice 10 to 20 minutes, or until all water has been absorbed. Do no stir rice.

  5. Turn heat off, and place lid firmly on pot. Let rice sit for 10 minutes.

  6. Serve immediately.
