Stuffed Napa Cabbage

This Stuffed Napa Cabbage recipe will delight your senses! Pair this dish with noodles or rice and you'll have a meal that will become a family favorite.


You will need:
  • 1 head Napa cabbage
  • 1/2 cup brown rice, cooked
  • 4 tsp minced garlic
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • 2 scallions, thinly sliced
  • 4 oz shiitake mushroom caps, chopped
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1 Tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp sesame oil



  1. In a large bowl combine mushrooms, rice, garlic, ginger, scallions, soy sauce, red pepper, and sesame oil, mix well.

  2. Take 8 large outer leaves from cabbage, flatten each leaf until stem end is flexible.

  3. Lay leaves out flat and place a few tablespoons of vegetable mixture on the leaf towards the stem end.

  4. Hold sides in, starting from filled end, and tightly roll into a bundle. Place into a large baking dish, 9x13, and pour one cup water over cabbage rolls.

  5. Cover with aluminum foil.

  6. Bake in a 400 F oven for 30 minutes.

  7. Remove and serve.
